Drop in yoga classes in Varkala

We offer hatha yoga drop-in classes in Varkala. Classes are conducted daily, 6 days a week.
Our drop-in classes are
• Morning from- 08:00am to 10:00am
• Evening from - 04:00pm to 06:00pm

A typical yoga class at Pranam Yoga:

We start the practice with an invocation prayer to the higher energies

• The first set of the practice is centered around breathing, also called Pranayama, which calms down and becomes more rhythmic regulating and concentrating the prana (energy).

•This is followed by a full body warm-up and the Sequence of Surya Namaskar (sun salutation) to awaken the pranic energy.

•In the main Asana practice our teachers teach and demonstrate different asanas with variations for beginners, intermediate and advanced practitioners.

•before the class ends we shift towards a workshop mode. This time is reserved for your self-practice and exploration. You want to work on your splits or Pincha? Our teachers are here to help you bring your practice to the next level.

•The class ends with savasana (corpse posture) – the relaxation part, where we allow ourselves to release everything we are holding on to physically, mentally and emotionally.

About our teachers

Joseph Konnoth

Joseph Konnoth has been practicing/teaching yoga for 38 years. Based on his own experience as a Yogi and teacher he is able to support the students in their individual journey as yoga practitioners.

Joyal George

Joyal grew up with his father being a yoga teacher. In the last five years he has taught and attended a multitude of trainings, developing his own style. Like his father Joyal puts a big emphasis on hands on adjustments.
