ABOUT HADHA VINYASA YOGA
Hatha Yoga is a traditional practice of Asanas that brings the body and mind into balance through steady postures, conscious breathing, and focused awareness. Instead of moving quickly through sequences, Hatha allows you to stay with each asana, understand alignment, and feel your body with clarity. The practice is calm, intentional, and grounded, helping you build strength, stability, and a quiet, centered mind.
ABOUT HADHA VINYASA YOGA
Hatha Vinyasa Yoga blends the steadiness of Hatha with the gentle flow of Vinyasa. The practice moves with breath, guiding you from one posture to the next with clarity and awareness. At Pranam Yoga Joseph, we keep the pace mindful rather than fast, so you can understand alignment, feel each transition, and stay connected to your breath. It’s a practice that builds strength and focus, while keeping the mind calm and steady.
Guru TA Raman Asan
Our lineage began in the early 1930s in Fort Kochi, where our Guru first dedicated himself to improving the physical strength and wellbeing of his community. What started as simple physical training gradually grew into a deeper search. Through disciplined self-practice and years of study, he moved from the world of fitness into the heart of yoga.
By the mid-1960s, people from many parts of the world were coming to Fort Kochi to learn from him. They were drawn not only to his knowledge, but to the way he lived.
Everything changed in 1983 when Joseph, then a young student, met him for the first time. What began as a meeting quickly became a student-teacher relationship that shaped the rest of Joseph’s life. Through the Guru’s guidance, Joseph stepped fully onto the yogic path, carrying forward a teaching that would eventually become the foundation of Pranam Yoga Joseph.
