Evening
4:00 - 5:45 PM
Our drop-in yoga classes follow a traditional Hatha and Hatha Vinyasa approach with clear instruction, alignment-based teaching, and personal guidance. These daily yoga classes in Varkala are designed to support deeper awareness, strength, and steady progress.
What to Expect in Class
We begin with gentle yoga warm-up exercises that help improve joint mobility, increase flexibility, and prepare the body for mindful movement. The practice continues with a traditional Surya Namaskar sequence or a dynamic Hatha Vinyasa flow, supporting better circulation, functional strength, balance, and breath awareness. This energizing combination helps awaken pranic energy, enhance overall mobility, and create a strong foundation for a safe and focused yoga practice.
Experience a structured Hatha Yoga or Hatha Vinyasa Yoga sequence designed to build strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness. Each posture is taught with clear guidance, and modifications are offered to support beginners, intermediate students, and experienced practitioners. Daily themes may focus on hip opening, backbends, forward folds, core strength, balancing postures, spinal twists, or a complete full-body yoga flow, allowing for steady and well-rounded progress in your yoga practice.
Before winding down, the class shifts into a workshop-style segment focused on personal exploration and skill development. Areas of practice may include:
- Splits & Flexibility Training
- Backbend Practice & Mobility
- Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Stand)
- Arm Balances & Inversions
- Balance & Stability Training
- Posture Alignment & Technique Refinement
Teachers are available to help refine your technique and support safe progress.
We close the active practice with guided pranayama techniques designed to improve breath awareness, enhance lung capacity, and support mind-body balance. These traditional yogic breathing exercises help regulate energy, reduce stress, improve mental clarity, and prepare the body and mind for deep relaxation and meditation.
The class concludes with Savasana (Corpse Pose), a guided relaxation practice that allows the body to fully rest and absorb the benefits of the session. This period of deep relaxation helps reduce physical tension, calm the nervous system, promote mental clarity, and restore a sense of balance and well-being.
